Nottingham Forest vs Bournemouth match preview

Bournemouth have lost 4 of their last 5  and have conceded 7 goals in their last 3 games. Forest have won 4 of their last 6 and have scored 5 goals in their last 2 games. The meeting earlier this season was won 2-0 by Bournemouth with 7 Forest and 5 Bournemouth corners and just 2 Bournemouth yellow cards. Corners looks the best bet in this game, both teams average over 5 and consistently get at least 3 corners in a high percentage of games they play, so 3+ corners each team looks a good bet and there is a good chance the game could hit double figures

Birmingham vs Luton match preview

Birmingham have only won 1 if their last 11 games and have failed to score in 5 of their last 8 games. Luton have lost 4, won 2 and drew 1 of their last 7 games and have failed to score in 3 of their last 5. The meeting earlier this season was a 1-1 draw with 8 Luton and 4 Birmingham corners and 1 yellow card for each team. This doesn’t look like a game where there will be goals as neither team can be relied on to score. The only potential bet on this game looks to be booking points, as the stats suggest there is an extremely high chance both teams get at least 1 player booked. Birmingham have been given 2 or more yellow cards in 4 of their last 5 games and the last 4 Luton games have seen 11 yellows and 4 red cards for them and their opponents. So it looks highly likely both teams get a player booked and the game will see at least 3 cards

Cardiff vs Coventry match preview

Cardiff are unbeaten in their last 4 and have won their last 2 whilst Coventry have won 2, drawn 2 and lost 2 of their last 6 games. The meeting earlier this season finished 1-0 to Coventry with 3 Coventry and 5 Cardiff corners and just 2 Cardiff yellow cards. We feel like there are no clear and obvious bets in this game and all angles of potential bets have too much risk. So this is a game that we would advise to not bet on.

Derby vs Middlesbrough match preview

Middlesbrough have lost 3 of their last 4 and have failed to score in all 3 of those losses. Derby have won 3 and lost 3 of their last 6 games. The meeting earlier this season was won 3-0 by Middlesbrough with 5 Derby and 4 Middlesbrough corners and 4 Derby yellow cards. 5 of the last 6 Derby games have all finished 1-0, they won 3 of them and lost 2. With Borough failing to score in 4 of their last 6 games goals looks a very risky bet. This is another game where all angles of bets carry too much risk and the stats are not strong enough for us to recommend a bet.

Huddersfield vs Wycombe match preview

Wycombe have won 1 of their last 17 games and just 3 games all season. Wycombe have failed to score in their last 3 games. Huddersfield have drawn their last 2 games after losing 4 in a row before that. The meeting earlier this season was a 0-0 draw with 4 Huddersfield and 6 Wycombe corners and just 1 Huddersfield booking. Goals look worth avoiding as the stats point to this being a low scoring game that could easily end goalless or be decided by a single goal. When you look at the season stats both corners and bookings look good bets without being bankers. Huddersfield have had 3 or more corners in all of their last 10 games and Huddersfield have taken 29 corners in their last 3 games. Wycombe are slightly more patchy on the corners and whilst there is a good chance that they will take at least 3 corners we do feel there is a risk that Wycombe could let that bet down as they have finished with under 3 corners in 2 of their last 5 games. Booking points also carries risk as Huddersfield have finished with no bookings in 2 of their last 4 games and Wycombe have seen their opponents not get a single card in 3 of the last 4 Wycombe games. So whilst a case can be made for corners and booking points, we do believe that the risk/reward at the odds is just not right and this is probably a game to avoid.

Norwich vs Stoke match preview

Norwich are without a win in 3 games and have failed to score in all of those 3 games. Stoke have drawn 6 of their last 8 games and lost the other 2. When these sides met earlier this season Norwich won 3-2 with 5 Norwich corners, 9 Stoke corners, 2 yellow cards for each team and 1 Norwich Red card. Goals looks risky, Norwich have failed to score in their last 3 and have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 4 games. 2 if the last 3 Norwich games finished 0-0 and Stoke are coming off a 0-0 last time out. Hope for goals is lifted by the fa t there were 5 when these sides met earlier this season but on recent form we feel it is too risky to back goals in this one. Corners doesn’t look a bad bet as there looks a high chance both teams see at least 3 corners and the game could hit double figures, but there is an element of doubt to this bet as Stoke have finished with 2 corners or less in 4 of their last 13 games. Bookings is the same as corners as it does not look a bad bet and there looks to be a good chance that both teams get a player booked and the game could see 3 cards at least. The element of doubt here is that Norwich have finished with no bookings in 3 of their last 6 games. With an element of doubt about all the stats we believe this is a game to avoid, and whilst Norwich will be expected to get the win we would like to see them snap this mini slump that has seen them fail to score in their last 3 games before we start backing them.

Reading vs Millwall match preview

Reading lost last time out to break a 7 game unbeaten run whilst Millwall are unbeaten in their last 5 games, winning 2 and drawing 3. The meeting earlier this season finished 1-1 with 5 Millwall corners, no reading corners and 4 yellow cards for each team. Millwall and Reading have both failed to score in 2 of their last 4 and have both kept 3 clean sheets in their last 5 games. This makes goals look risky and is enough to make us avoid betting on goals all together. In fact there are no strong stats on this game and every angle carries too much doubt and risk for us to recommend a bet, so we believe this is a game to avoid.

Rotherham vs QPR match preview

Rotherham have won 3 and lost 2 of their last 5 games whilst QPR have won 4 and lost 1 of their last 5. The meeting earlier this season was won 3-2 by QPR with 4 Rotherham corners, 5 QPR corners and 3 Rotherham yellow cards. Rotherham have scored in all of their last 10 games and although they have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 9 games, they have conceded 13 goals in those 9 games. QPR have scored in 5 of their last 6 but have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 5 games. This is not a game to give up on goals though we do feel goals is not a bet you want to push your luck too far. Rotherham have been finding the net regularly at least once in their games recently, so it looks likely they will score at least 1 goal. Both teams to score doesn’t look a bad bet as QPR know where the goal is. The issue with goals is both teams have a good enough defensive record in recent games to add doubt to how many goals there will be. So whilst we think it is a pretty safe bet there will be a couple of goals, we don’t think you want to take the line of over/under goals too high. Corners and cards both look good bets with it being highly likely that both teams see at least 3 corners and a minimum of 1 card. Rotherham have had 34 corners in their last 6 games and have given away 45 corners in their last 7 games. QPR have had 52 corners in their last 8 games and have given away 33 corners in their last 6 games. QPR have been given 16 yellow cards in their last 6 games, whilst Rotherham have been given 30 yellow cards in their last 15 games. We feel this is the type of game that it would be no surprise to see a couple of goals, a double digit corner count with both teams contributing and 3 or 4 cards in the match. To us goals looks like the risky part so it may be safer to just play the corners and cards.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Swansea match preview

Swansea are unbeaten in their last 8 winning 6 and Sheffield Wednesday have won 6 of their last 9. The meeting earlier in the season between these 2 sides was a 1-1 draw with 6 Sheffield Wednesday and 3 Swansea corners and 4 Sheffield Wednesday yellow cards. Sheffield Wednesday have scored in 8 of their last 9 and have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 6 games. Swansea have scored 10 goals in their last 5 games and have kept 5 clean sheets in their last 8 games. Swansea have a very good defensive record and with them keeping 15 clean sheets from 27 games played this season, it makes it very hard to back both teams to score in any game involving them. Especially so against a Sheffield Wednesday side who average just 0.75 goals per game this season. Swansea to win to nil does not look a bad bet with them winning and keeping a clean sheet in 12 games this season. With major doubts about the angle on corners and cards in this game it does look as though the best bet is for Swansea to win to nil.

Bristol City have lost their last 3 and have lost 8 and won 3 of their last 11 games. Watford are without a win in 3 having drawn 2 and lost 1 of their last 3 games. When these sides met earlier this season it finished 0-0 with 8 Watford and 5 Bristol City corners and no bookings for either side. Watford have kept 7 clean sheets in their last 12 games and have failed to score in 2 of their last 3. Bristol City have failed to score in 3 of their last 5 and have conceded at least 1 goal in 10 of their last 11 games. Goals looks risky as Watford have only scored more than 1 goal in 2 of their last 11 and have a pretty solid defensive record in recent times. Bristol City have been struggling to keep clean sheets and to score, but Bristol City have only conceded more than 2 goals in 1 of their last 15 games. Card doesn’t look a bad bet, Watford have been given 26 yellow cards in their last 10 games, whilst Bristol City have been given 10 yellow cards in their last 6 games. Cards does have a slightly off putting stat that Bristol City have finished with no cards in 10 games this season and there was not a single booking when these sides met earlier in the season. The standout bet is for Watford to take the most corners. Watford take an average of over 2 corners per game more than Bristol City, also Watford giveaway an average of 2 corners less per game than Bristol City. Add this to the fact that Bristol City have not taken a single corner in 2 of their last 4 games, and 8 times this season they have taken 2 corners or less in a match. Watford have taken 60 corners in their last 9 games and we fully expect them to take more corners in this one.
