John Gosden puts his faith in Benoit De La Sayette for the Lincoln!

Benoit De La Sayette is an 18 year old apprentice jockey with a 7 pound claim. This Saturday he will partner the well backed HAQEEQY in the Unibet Lincoln on the opening day of the flat season in England. HAQEEQY has been well backed for the race in recent days and his price has more than halved from as big as 8/1 into now around 7/2 with most major firms.

Dane O’Neill was originally supposed to take the ride but he cannot get back from Bahrain in time. Jim Crowley is over in Meydan and Rab Havlin is scheduled to ride at Kempton. So opportunity has come knocking for De La Sayette who has ridden 9 winners in the UK, and could be about to join an exclusive club as only 2 apprentices have rode the winner of the Lincoln in the last 25 years.
