West Brom vs Wolves match preview

Wolves will be disappointed with this season and whilst they are safe from the drop it looks certain that they will finish in the bottom half of the table.  West Brom are now 11 points from safety and even with a game in hand they look to be fighting a losing battle to stay up.

West Brom have scored 10 goals in their last 4 league games and they conceded 7 goals in those 4 games as well. Wolves have scored in 7 of their last 10 league games but they are not a big scoring side and have only scored more than 2 goals in a game once all season. Wolves have conceded in 5 of their last 8 league games and they conceded an average of 1.62 goals per game in those games.

West Brom games lately have seen a lot of goals as they find themselves in the situation of having to win games. With Wolves having nothing to play for other than pride we should see an open, attacking game. Over 1.5 goals looks a good bet with both teams to score also having a good chance.

Wolves have taken 3 or more corners in 12 of their last 13 league games and they average 5.23 corners per game in those games. West Brom have taken 28 corners in their last 5 home league games and have taken 3 or more corners in 9 of their last 10 league games. It looks likely both teams will take at least 3 corners here and the match will have 8/9+ match corners.

West Brom have been given 2 cards in each of their last 2 league games and they have been given at least 1 card in 84.84% of their league games this season. Wolves have been given at least 1 card in 81.81% of their league games this season. Its not a game that screams bookings but the first meeting between these sides earlier this season had 3 yellow cards with both teams picking up a booking and it looks like it could be a similar story here. Wolves are good on the counter and that will likely lead to West Brom picking up a card at some point for breaking up a counter attack with a foul. West Brom’s situation will also bring an intensity to this game that will suit bookings.

The best bets in this game are

Over 1.5 goals

Both teams to score

8/9+ match corners

10+ booking points each team

Burnley vs West Ham match preview

Burnley are 9 points above the drop right now and 1 more win would surely be enough to guarantee their Premier League safety. West Ham are 6 points behind 4th placed Chelsea with a game in hand on their London rivals.

West Ham have scored in 14 of their last 17 league games and they scored an average of 1.76 goals per game in those 17 games. West Ham have scored 2 or more goals in 7 of their last 10 league games. West Ham have conceded in all of their last 6 league games and they conceded an average of 2 goals per game in those 6 games. Burnley have scored in all of their last 7 league games and they scored an average of 1.71 goals per game in those 7 games. Burnley have conceded in 7 of their last 8 league games and they conceded an average of 1.87 goals per game in those 8 games.

Over 1.5 goals looks very strong and both teams to score also looks a very good bet.

Burnley average 5.41 corners per game in their last 12 league games and they average 7 corners per game in their last 4 league games. West Ham only average 4 corners per game in their last 10 league games and have seen a decline in number of corners in recent games. There is still a good chance that both teams take at least 3 corners and the match will have 8+ corners with Burnley leading the way in terms of corner count.

West Ham average 2 yellow cards per game in their last 5 league games and have been given a red card in each of their last 2 league games. All of the last 6 West Ham league games had 30+ match booking points. Burnley have been given at least 1 card in 5 of their last 6 league games and they average 1.66 yellow cards per game in those 6 games. It looks likely that both teams pick up at least 1 card and the game will have 30+ match booking points.

The best bets in this game are

Over 1.5 goals

Both teams to score

3+ corners each team

10+ booking points each team

30+ match booking points
