Leeds vs Chelsea match preview

Leeds have now lost 4 of their last 5 whilst Chelsea are unbeaten in 9 games, winning 6 and drawing 3. When these sides met earlier in the season it finished 3-1 to Chelsea with 8 Chelsea corners, 4 Leeds corners and 2 Leeds yellow cards. Corners is the best bet in this game. Leeds average 5.74 a game and Chelsea average 6.21 a game. Goals looks risky as whilst Chelsea have been winning games they have only scored 11 games during their 9 game unbeaten stretch which has largely been built on a solid defence rather than out scoring teams. Leeds have failed to score in 5 of their last 11 games, but their style of play does mean it can lead to goals. Leeds have only drawn 2 games all season and the most recent draw they had was against Arsenal back in their 9th game of the season, that’s 18 games ago! So the stats don’t say goals but it would be no surprise to see some. Chelsea have been given no cards in their last 8 games and whilst Leeds are pretty consistent at getting booking they usually tend to be around the low level of 1 or 2 yellows so the stats are not strong enough to go for bookings. The best bet with corners looks to be total match corners as both teams are consistent in getting a decent number of corners but Leeds sometimes have a slow day. Should that happen there is a good chance Chelsea could cover the majority of the bet on their own as they average over 7 corners per game in their last 14 games, so it is highly likely that this is a game that will see at least 8/9 corners and will very likely push into double figures.

Crystal Palace vs West Brom match preview

Palace have lost 3, drawn 2 and won 1 of their last 6 games whilst West Brom have drawn 3, won 1 and lost 2 of their last 6 games. When these sides met earlier in the season it ended 5-1 to Palace with 4 West Brom corners, 6 Palace corners, 2 yellow cards for each team and a West Brom Red card. Straight away we can tell you goals is a bet to avoid. Palace have failed to score in 4 of their last 6 and have kept 2 clean sheets in their last 3 games, both of those 2 games finished 0-0. West Brom have also failed to score in 4 of their last 6 and have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 4 games. So with both teams struggling to score but managing to keep clean sheets, we believe this is a game to leave goals alone. This is not a game where we would recommend a bet as neither team are on the high end of the corner averages as West Brom average just 3 corners a game in their last 16 games and Palace average just 2.60 corners a game in their last 10 games. Palace have failed to receive any cards in 2 of their last 5 games and 2 of West Broms last 3 games have ended with no cards for either team. So we don’t expect many goals, however with corners bear in mind that these 2 sides are used to having less possession and territory than they will see tomorrow, so it would be no surprise if they outperformed recent stats on the corners. Cards could be anything as West Brom are fighting for their Premier League lives, but the stats don’t back up bookings so this is a game we recommend to leave alone.

Everton vs Burnley match preview

Everton lost to Chelsea in their last game to break a 3 game winning streak and Burnley have now drawn 4 of their last 5 games. When they met for the first time earlier this season it ended 1-1 with 8 Burnley corners, 4 Everton corners and no bookings for either side. This not a game where we would recommend a bet as all angles have an element of doubt. In Burnley games goals can usually be tough to come by and whilst Everton have had a good season they are not a high scoring team as in their last 18 games they average just 1.11 goals a game and have not scored more than 2 goals in any of those 18 games. Everton average just 2.38 corners a game in their last 8 games and Burnley average just 3.45 corner a game in their last 11 games, so there is nothing to go at in terms of corners of goals from the stats. Burnley have finished with no cards in 2 of their last 3 games and Burnley opponents have been given no cards in 5 of their last 10 games. Everton are more consistent with cards but still have only averaged 1.28 cards yellow cards a game in their last 7 games and given that Everton will likely control possession and territory for long periods we wonder simply will there be enough of a chance for them to pick up bookings. For all these reasons this is a game we believe it is worth avoiding

Fulham vs Man City match preview

Fulham beat Liverpool last time out and have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 1 of their last 6 games. City had their incredible winning run ended by Man United but bounced back by putting 5 past Southampton last time out and have still won 16 of their last 17 games. The first meeting between these sides this season was won 2-0 by Man City with 9 City corners, 3 Fulham corners and no bookings. As with the majority of Man City games you have to remember that any bet on total goals or corners is going to heavily rely on them as they will control the game. City average 2.76 goals per game in their last 13 games and average over 7 corners per game in their last 14 games. We don’t want to skip over Fulham as they have shown they can contribute towards corners as they average 4 corners per game this season, but the way this game will play out means they will be very much living on scraps. Fulham have proven themselves to be tough to beat and have only actually lost 1 of their last 7 games and 4 of their last 17 games. That being said they have struggled to score goals and win games so there is a good chance that 2 or even just 1 goal will be enough for City to get all 3 points here. We believe the best betting angle is to look at Man City goals and Man City corners, with it being highly likely that City will score at least 2 goals and have at least 5 corners. Allot will depend on the early exchanges as an early goal for City means a very long afternoon for Fulham you would think but if Fulham can frustrate City they may have a chance of taking a point away.
