Southampton vs Chelsea match preview

Southampton have lost their last 6 conceding 20 goals in those 6 games. Chelsea have won their last 4,scoring 7 goals in those 4 games. The meeting earlier in the season finished 3-3 with 6 Chelsea, 2 Southampton corners and 1 yellow card for each team. Probably the most obvious bet here is Chelsea to win. They are in great form since Thomas Tuchel has taken over and face a Saints side who are on a horrible run of form. With the rate the Saints are shipping goals it seems likely Chelsea will score at least a couple of goals. Despite it ending 3 all when these sides last met there are massive doubts about if Saints will score in this game. Saints have failed to score in 6 of their last 10 games and Chelsea have conceded just 3 goals in their last 7 games and have kept 5 clean sheets in those 7 games. Chelsea are consistently on the high end of the corners, they have had 7 or more corners in 7 of their last 10 games and have had at least 10 corners in 4 of their last 9 games. Whilst Southampton don’t hit the numbers that Chelsea do they are consistent and usually see at least 3 corners. Southampton have had at least 1 card in all of their last 8 games and Southampton’s opponents have had 2 or more cards in 8 of their last 10 games. Chelsea are unpredictable with bookings as they have finished with no cards in 3 of their last 4 games , yet they have finished with 3 or more cards in 5 of their last 9. So in a game we think Chelsea will win it is likely they will score at least a couple of goals and there is a strong chance that Southampton will not score. Corners look likely and there looks a very good chance the match will hit double figures with Chelsea being the main contributors. Cards also look likely, though it may pay to back total match bookings rather than both teams due to Chelsea’s inconsistencies with cards.

Burnley vs West Brom match preview

Burnley have drawn 2 and won 1 of their last 3 games whilst West Brom have drawn 2 and lost 4 of their last 6 games. The meeting between these two earlier in the season finished 0-0 with 8 West Brom, 2 Burnley corners and 2 yellow cards for each team. Goals looks very risky to call as neither side is prolific in front of goal and the last meeting between these 2 finished goalless. Burnley would be favourites to win the game judged on some recent wins where they put 3 past Crystal Palace and Aston Villa plus they beat Liverpool at Anfield 1-0. Corners and cards both look risky as both teams are inconsistent. Plus another factor to keep in mind is that both of these sides are used to playing without the ball for long periods and usually are on the lower end of territory and possession. However in this game they will have more possession and territory than they will in the majority of their other games, so the stats are best taken with a pinch of salt. This is not a game that we believe is a good betting prospect and would advise that you may be best looking at other games this weekend.

Liverpool vs Everton match preview

Liverpool have lost their last 3 games and have conceded 7 goals in their last 2 games. Everton have lost their last 2 and have conceded 8 goals in their last 3 games. The meeting earlier in the season ended 2-2 with 2 Everton, 5 Liverpool corners, 3 Everton yellow cards, 2 Liverpool yellow cards and 1 Everton red card. A tricky game to call results wise and that’s before you even consider the fact that it’s a Derby. Liverpool have failed to score in 5 of their last 9 and have conceded in all of their last 6 games. Everton have conceded in all of their last 8 games and failed to score in 3 of their last 8. The result and goals both look risky, though with both teams struggling defensively and the attacking talent that will be on show makes you think there will be a couple of goals. Corners also has risks as Liverpool have had 10 or more corners in 4 of their last 9 games but Everton have had just 1 or no corners in 3 of their last 4 games. So we expect Liverpool to have the most corners and if backing corners we advise backing total match corners rather than both teams to contribute, as there is a good chance that Liverpool could hit double figures on their own. As with any Merseyside Derby cards looks a good bet. Liverpool have had at least 2 cards in 7 of their last 9 games and Liverpool opponents have had at least 1 card in 21 of their last 22 games. Everton have had at least 1 card in all of their last 12 games and they have had 2 or more cards in 8 of those 12 plus Everton opponents have had at least 1 booking in 11 of their last 12 games and 2 or more cards in 8 of those games. So there looks a good chance both teams could see a couple of cards each. It would be no surprise to see a couple of goals and both teams score as both teams have struggled defensively lately. Corners looks a good bet with there being a good chance the match will see double figures and Liverpool will be the main contributors to that. Cards is probably the best bet that the stats give us but with a game like this you have to accept anything can happen. As Liverpool poor run of form won’t continue forever and there is allot of attacking talent in the pitch for both sides. Though the one thing we can be sure of is this should be a good game to watch.

Fulham vs Sheffield United match preview

Sheffield United have won 3 and lost 4 of their last 7 whilst Fulham have drawn 4, won 1 and lost 1 of their last 6. The meeting earlier this season ended 1-1 with 5 Fulham corners, 2 Sheffield United corners and 2 Fulham yellow cards. Both sides will look at this as a must win as draws won’t help these two stay up. A surprising stat is that Fulham have only lost 3 of their last 13 games, the issue for them is they have only won 1 and drew the other 9. So whilst Fulham seem to have found a way to stop losing games they are still struggling to find ways to win games. Sheffield United have found some form recently though still have a mountain to climb to stay up. Goals and the result is too risky to call in a game like this, as Fulham have failed to score in 3 if their last 6 and have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 6 games. Sheffield United have failed to score in 5 of their last 10 and have only kept 1 clean sheet all season. Corners look unpredictable as both these sides usually play without possession and territory so their corner count is limited by the number of chances they have to win corners in a single game. Sheffield United in their last 4 games have had 0, 9, 1 and 7 corners and Fulham have had 2 corners or less in 3 of their last 8 which is an example of the unpredictability surrounding corners in this one. Fulham have had 1 or more card in 12 of their last 13 games and their opponents have had at least 1 card in all of their last 9. Sheffield United have had 35 yellow card given to them in their last 15 games, but Sheffield United opponents have had no bookings in 4 of their last 6 games, so bookings also has some risk. The only possible bet we have spotted in this game is Fulham/Draw double chance. Fulham have been tough to beat lately and against a Sheffield United side who have only kept 1 clean sheet all season we expect Fulham to score at least 1 goal which may be enough to make sure they don’t lose this game. Though on the whole this is not the most appealing game of the weekend and we feel there will be better bets elsewhere.
