Leicester vs Liverpool match preview

Leicester have only won 1 of their last 4 but have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 6 games. Liverpool have lost 4 of their last 7, failing to score in 5 of their last 8 games. The meeting between these 2 earlier this season was won 3-0 by Liverpool, with 10 Liverpool and 3 Leicester corners and just 2 Leicester yellow cards. Liverpool currently occupy 4th spot and can move level on points with Leicester in 3rd with a win. This is a game that looks crucial for the top 4 battle as both of these sides currently sit just inside the top 4 but have multiple sides queuing up behind them hoping for a slip including Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham, Everton, Leeds and Arsenal. Liverpool goal scoring record is becoming worrying now, scoring 3 goals against both of West Ham and Spurs adds some hope that this is just a small blip, but for a side with the attacking talent and reputation that Liverpool side has it will be a big worry that they are going through entire games without scoring. Liverpool are also conceding goals and have conceded at least 1 goal in their last 5 games. Leicester will see this as a huge opportunity to take a big step towards Champions League football and they can actually move up to 2nd above Man United with a win, though United would have a game in hand. Leicester have scored in 9 of their last 10 games, and scored 2 or more goals in 6 of those games. It sounds a strange thing to say but goals does look a risky bet in this game. With Liverpool having problems in front  of goal and Leicester keeping 4 clean sheets in their last 6 games you have to question will Liverpool score? Whilst we would not advise pushing the goals part of bets too far we do believe that in a game this important with the attacking talent both teams have that we should see at least a couple of goals, and if betting in goals you may be better backing total match goals rather than a bet that involves both teams to score. Corners look a pretty safe bet. Leicester average over 5 a game and Liverpool over 6.5, so it would be no surprise to see a corner count that hits double figures with both teams contributing, and it looks very likely both teams should have at least 3 corners. The number of booking points Liverpool get has gone up recently, and actually the rise in cards begins at the exact time they lost form and started to struggle in front of goal. Liverpool have had at least 1 card in 7 of their last 8 games, and were given 2 or more cards in 6 of those 7 games. Liverpool opponents have had at least 1 booking in 20 of their last 21 games, and they had 2 or more cards in 11 of those games. In the last 6 Leicester games their opponents have been given a total of 13 per game. Leicester have been given at least 1 card in 12 of their last 13 games, and were given at least 2 cards or more in 8 of those games. So we expect an entertaining game, and believe that with bets it is better to play total match goals, corners or cards rather than backing both teams to contribute. As these are 2 teams who on their day can score 3 or 4 goals against anyone, hit a double figure corner count on their own or have 3 or 4 players booked, but both teams have also shown a little inconsistency lately which is why we recommend betting on the total match goals, corners and cards rather than both teams to contribute a certain amount. So that should one of these teams have alone of their inconsistent games that goes against the stats, your bets will still have a chance of being covered by just the 1 team. Any bet that is based around 2/3 goals in the match, 8/9 corners in the match and 2/3 cards in the match is a bet that looks to have a very good chance.

Crystal Palace vs Burnley match preview

Palace have lost 3 and won 2 of their last 5, conceding 10 goals in their last 5 games and failing to score in 5 of their last 10 matches. Burnley had recent wins against Liverpool and Aston Villa, though have now lost 2 and drawn 1 in their last 3 games. Burnley have conceded 7 goals in their last 4 games, have failed to score in 4 of their last 7 games and have only scored 1 goal in their last 3 games. The meeting earlier this season finished 1-0 to Burnley with 4 Burnley and 7 Palace corners and 2 Burnley yellows. The first a most obvious issue with this game is we don’t expect many goals at all. Neither side is setting the world alight with their attacking play and 8 of the last 9 Burnley league games finished with 2 goals or less. Burnley have also been defending better than they get credit for lately. In what has been a tough run of games they have played Man United, West Ham, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Man City and in form Brighton in their last 7 games. Only in 3 of those games did Burnley concede more than 1 goal. So we see this game having 2 goals at the most. In what is a pretty risky game from a betting point of view It’s no surprise that corners is a risky bet as well. Palace have had just 17 corners in their last 8 games, whilst Burnley have had just 13 corners in their last 5 games. Booking points looks better but still not strong enough to recommend a bet. 2 of Palaces last 5 games have finished with no cards for anyone and Burnley opponents have finished with no cards in 3 of their last 4 games. So we don’t expect this to be a very good game to watch. We feel Burnley could be tough to beat as they have been playing top teams recently and frustrating them for long periods of time. We believe this game will likely end with just 2 goals at the most and there is a high chance of a low number of corners. From a betting angle this is the type of game it may be best to avoid.

Man City vs Spurs match preview

Man City are on what looks like a title winning charge. Unbeaten in 14 they’ve won their last 10 and they have kept 11 clean sheets in their last 14 games and have only conceded 1 goal in their last 7 games and that was against Liverpool last time out. Spurs have lost 3 of their last 4 and have failed to score in 2 of their last 3. The meeting earlier this season was won 2-0 by Spurs with no Spurs and 10 Man City corners and 2 bookings for each team. Man City have scored 18 goals in their last 6 games and will start as strong favourites to get the 3 points. With the attacking talent on show there should be goals in this one. Though we do believe both teams to score is a risky bet. Man City have been keeping clean sheets for fun and with Spurs recent drop in form it’s tough to predict that they will score with any real confidence. Plus with Jose Mourinho you can never rule out him setting up a defensive masterclass and stealing a goal or 2 on the counter attack, just what happened in the meeting earlier this season. By backing total match goals rather than both teams to score there is always a chance that 1 team (most likely City) will cover the bet on their own. The corners revolves around Man City, as Spurs are sure to sit deep and look to play on the counter. Spurs have finished with 2 corners or less in 3 of their last 4 games. Man City have had 8 or more corners in 5 of their last 7 games. So the same as with goals we feel the smartest play with corners is total match corners or Man City to have the most corners as we feel it is too unpredictable the amount of corners Spurs will get. Man City’s opponents have been given 2 or more cards in 10 of the last 11 Man City games whilst Spurs have had at least 1 player booked in 13 of their last 14 games. Spurs opponents have been given 22 yellow cards in their last 9 games. We are very confident Spurs will see at least a booking or likely 2 as they are going to play long periods without the ball and are likely to need to commit a foul at some point. With Spurs playing on the counter there is always the chance that Man City will give the ball away and end up having to foul to stop a dangerous Spurs counter attack, so we are confident both teams will see at least a booking. With Man City’s defensive record it would be no surprise to see them win to nil, though with the attacking talent Spurs have it may be risky to have a bet that goes down if Spurs score. We expect a couple of goals at least in the game and believe total match goals is a better bet that both teams to score. Spurs are too unpredictable with corners but it would be no surprise if Man City could reach double figures on their own, so total match corners or Man City to have the most corners looks the best bet there. We expect at least a card for both teams and the match will likely see at least 3.

Brighton vs Aston Villa match preview

Brighton are unbeaten in 5 winning 3 of those 5. Two of those wins came with back to back 1-0 wins against Spurs and Liverpool. Villa have lost 4 and won 3 of their last 7 games. The meeting earlier this season was won 2-1 by Brighton with 12 Villa and 3 Brighton corners, 2 Villa and 1 Brighton yellow card plus a Brighton red card. Villa have kept 3 clean sheets in their last 5 games, whilst Brighton have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 5 games and 3 of those clean sheets came against Leeds, Liverpool and Spurs. Goals looks risky purely because of the defensive record of both teams. Brighton have had 29 corners in their last 4 games and although Villa’s numbers on corners have dropped slightly in recent games, they still average over 6 a game and have had 4 or more corners in 15 of their last 18 games. Despite the first game between these 2 this season seeing 3 yellows and a red card, bookings looks a risky bet. Villa have finished with no cards in 4 of their last 7 and Brighton have been given no cards in either of their last 2 games. The best bet for this game looks to be corners. We expect a high corner count that could easily reach double figures with both teams contributing.
